so any new grips should have the cable knob attached where you feed the throttle wires in? these I bought don't and they wont fit onto the black sleeve the original grip came off of. I am doing something wrong?

sounds good, thanks! I had to install a new clutch lever bracket due to a broken mirror, what a pita!!!! Yamaha put Loctite on every **** threaded bolt its killing me haha.

Just installed new grips, thanks to this thread was done with any issues.

Can you take a pic of your new grips or a link. You may have to use the stock sleeve if it's available. May not work with your new grips.

Here's a pic of them Joe. Didn't realize I had to get some with the cable knob. I tried to slid these into the stock sleeve but no dice.

Got the same one but came with cable knob.

I took a chance on these from ebay cause they were cheap. I guess I got my money's worth. LOL
