keep in mind that there is a right and left on those grips if you try to put the wrong side on the throttle sleeve it won't go but the other one might give it a shot.

Thank you Joe! Just did my grips and mirrors, and your pics and info were priceless! Lol telling other riders I'd done my grips myself got me lots of "Don't think I'd try that on my own" remarks...

Just a bump for this tutorial as it saved me from destroying my end caps trying to get them off. Thanks so much. Never saw the plastic end cap on the bar end.

Installed Kuryakyn Iso grips today. Throttle side was a piece of cake, but the clutch side was a major pain. The glue they provide is a joke. As I was sliding on the grip, it set up on the leading rubber edge, popping the rubber out of the metal housing, and now i had a grip half installed and deformed. After some swearing, dejection, and overall disappointment, I got to work trying to get the grip back off. Well, after several hours of twisting, poking, prodding and half a can of WD40 later, the iso grip was back off.

I re-installed using some black easy gasket, and got everything perfectly aligned, and looking good!

Moral of the story, don't use super glue to put the grips on.

I see you use the same method of swearing, dejection and overall disappointment that I employ with all my half-assed mod attempts. Glad i'm not the only one.

Next time, put the glue IN the grip, not on handlebar.
