Not really worth messing with.

Also, these adjustments are not part of the chip's programming.... It's used by the factory to adjust the mixture at idle and closed throttle.
(when the injectors are running)

If you don't write the settings down, you'll never be able to put it back to stock.

I don't have access to these settings since they are outside the chip's programming.

You are not adjusting anything during closed loop (closed loop is just what it says = closed = not adjustable), and there is no risk to flashing the ECU at all

Do you have any documentation you could present that would backup these statements? I'm not saying I'm disagreeing with you or calling you a liar...I'm going into this with an open mind, is the any technical information you can provide on this that would confirm what you've said.

The documents that I'm reading from folks that have R1's is that it makes quite a big difference up until about 25% throttle and idle. Some of these folks have dyno charts proving the results.

To be honest, even if it's only is 5% it sure makes enough of a difference for my bike to not really worry at this point about getting a power commander or flash. I have no more pops on decel and my low throttle response is much better...that's really all I wanted..but I have just a slipon at this point.

Can you provide any reference to where you came up with the above information?

Closed loop is when the O2 is running the mixture. ....not this or any adjustments can change the O2's routine...or the mixture that it produces. Closed loop is exactly what it means with a narrow band factory O2 sensor.

You are very misinformed ...but you are certainly entitled to believe what you want to.

The only way to get control of the mixture at part throttle and have it stable is to turn off the O2 in the chip's programming. ...this can only be done by reflash.

None of the O2 controllers available can do this properly like reprogramming.

Read the threads here,, it includes dyno numbers and plenty of user experiences that state they've had excellent results with Co changes.

OK, sounds good. take your ball go home. I've also been at this for quite a while, all I asked you for was documentation to backup your claims....clearly that wasn't something you could provide, so rather than just say that, you take shots about someone being misinformed.

Well I guess on top of being mis-informed, I'm also losing my hearing because the decel pops are GONE and my power gains are up. But maybe I and nearly every other forum that has done the mod are a bunch of mis-informed liars and you're the only one qualified to know anything about motorcycles because you've been doing this "your whole adult life". Thanks for the educational contribution.....even if I had the 350 for your ECU mods (and was considering it after I had more than a slipon) I'll most surely get a power commander since it's clear to me how you operate.

Frankly - I'm not here to "convince" anyone to do this..I could care less if anyone tries it or they prefer to shell out 350 bucks for your ECU hack that voids the warranty on their bike...the fact of the matter is this is a change that works for me and many others and I thought I'd share it...sorry if that cuts into your revenue stream a tiny bit.

I hope this thread remains open and available, like others I would be happy with the bare minimum improvements this would provide and am looking forward to an update that contains tested results so that I can proceed with confidence should I take this route.
