Default Parasitec draw on Battery

I'm new here and my son has a 2011 Stryker Raven. We bought a new battery for it over a year ago. He was riding on a Saturday with a group and I got a call that the bike wouldn't start. I went & picked him up with the trailer. We checked the bike out & found the battery was dead. Tried to charge it and then sent it back to seller. It was new BTW. They sent another and the bike worked for a while. then it would not start. Check the battery again, this time it was out of warranty. I ordered a Gel battery. It worked and then over the winter it went dead. I charged it and it started every day for about 4 days. The 5th day, it clicked. I charged it again. Now he has the Cobra 2 tuner that needs to be adjusted and he has pipes with louder baffles in them. nothing done to the intake. Anyway, the tuner is not in the best shape after being under the seat. I cut the ground to it and put a plug in line. I unplugged the ground, charged the battery and she seems to hold a charge. We were thinking problem found, bad tuner. However before buying a new tuner, we want to check for a draw somewhere else. I'm checking what I can see before removing the tank etc... I am getting .6+ to .59 mA with the battery disconnected. I have unplugged everything I can get to and no change. Until, I get to the smaller black wire with the red dot going to the battery. I then get a reading of .4+ or -. Am I on the right track? Does anyone know what the normal draw is supposed to be? Dose anyone know what the black wire with the red dot goes to? How about where the rectifier/regulator are? So many questions so little time. He wants to ride but he is a little afraid to be out and the bike won't start. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Before you shell out money for another tuner, it would serve your son better to send his ECU to Ivan and get his tune put on it, then no need for a tuner ever. Unless I'm mistaken you say you have the battery disconnected (+/- removed from posts) but still getting draw? Black/red wire is from main 50a fuse to rectifier regulator that is located on the belt side on the bike. I circled the fuse and rectifier/regulator.
. It sounds like a bad regulator/rectifier to me.

From what you posted it does sound like it could be the charging system and not a parasitic draw. Easy test. Start bike and while running take a reading at the battery. Should be around 13.5-14.5 at idle. If it is lower or higher than 1 or more charging components are bad. A Google search will show you how to test them or look at the shop manual in the docs for this group.

A fully charged battery that isn't getting sufficiently recharged while riding could go for hours before dying. If it is getting no charge at all then I'd say you'd get maybe 1-1.5 hours before it gives up the ghost...
