Default check engine light ON

2013 Yamaha Stryker, 7k miles. Drove my son to school this morning when check engine light came on while on a stop light. It will go away when I start to drive but every time I engage the clutch, the CEL will appear. Release the clutch and CEL goes away. Got home. Turned OFF the engine. Then I noticed that now I can start the engine just by the Engine Stop Switch without using the Start Switch.

I have installed led lights on the bike about 3 months ago but I don't think this should cause the problem.

Anybody know what could be the cause of the CEL? Is there a diagnosis tool for motorcycles to read the CEL error code similar to cars?

thanks,
StrikerOut

By the way, it was an unusually cold morning with fog in San Diego, CA. Does this have anything to do with the air sensor?

I have heard something like this but not that you can start the engine with out pushing the start. Maybe the switch is stuck and sending a signal.

The starting issue is due to Starter Switch getting stuck. Pulled it out and it works fine now. The CEL just went away by itself so I do not know what caused it. One other person posted that it could be the air sensor. Thanks anyway.
