Interesting info... the sub frame is a single "c beam" near the end, probably the last 3 or 4 inches nearest the tail light. It then transitions into a slightly thicker full channel for another 6 or so, and, finally, it becomes a solid piece of heavy much thicket steel where is joins the main frame.
I searched and didn't see a lot of info on cutting the subframe, so I just wanted to provide some details. Sorry if this information has already been shared.
I am stitching the seat cover up today to finish that off, and am going to drill two small posts into the main frame where the stock rubber seat mounts rest. The other end of the post will go into the seat, as to prevent side to side motion. The front locking mechanism on the seat will still operate as stock.
Currently the plan to to mount the fender to the non-drive side swingarm only with minimum tubing. It will roll as low to the tire as logistically possible, and I am hoping it give that floating look I am looking for from the belt side.
We will see... its ALL an experiment. LOL
