Default Groove in my tire

Hey Guys,
I have noticed a very shallow groove in my tire. It is slightly off center and does not match up with the seat bolts. I have not bottomed out that I know of.
Tire has about 10,000 km on it. It is a Michelin CII.

Thoughts?

There's a small notch on the underside of the stock fender. If you've lowered the bike at all it's pretty easy to hit it.

Kind of looks exactly centered, maybe tire mold line?

I got the exact same thing on my C2 240 tire and I agree with preacherman1150206 that it's probably "tire mold line" the funny thing about it is that I'm halfway through my tire thread and it is still visible it is not gorged up or anything it is just visible.

Thanks for the responses. I was thinking mold line as well. It just seems weird that it is a groove that you can catch a fingernail in.

On the 2 interconnecting fender rail supports that go over tire and connect to side rails for rear fender. there are 2 triangular tabs on both that protrude down toward tire. I guess they are there as a indicator scrub before tire rubs on actual meat of the support. I dont have picture to show what I mean, but I noticed them when I widened my fender rail supports year back.

Here is a pic of the rear fender support. My tabs have been ground off here in pic, but there were 2 of them on each center crossover on the tire side of supports. https://www.yamahastarstryker.com/me...5-dscn1057.jpg

Thanks 11, That's what I was trying to convey. Not to thread jack but it's good to see you posting.
