Default windshield suggestion please

Hey all, i have a 2011 stryker and I really need a windshield. I've been looking at https://www.ebay.com/itm/Slipstreame...cAAOSwqDhbF~8F
I read one review talking about it "buffeting" on the highway, i'm not sure what that means, but he stated that it ruined his ride.

Can anyone give me any suggestions on tried and true windshields and/or give their 2 cents on the one that I provided a link for?

Thanks in advance for any help, it's greatly appreciated.

All I can offer is some insight from having owned a few different options on this bike and others and what I've read here. I have had the Yamaha short windshield, a full batwing and the Memphis shades Bullet fairing (current). all have pros and cons. The bad news for any of them is that everyone will have a different experience with any windshield or fairing depending on how long your torso is (not just how tall you are) and to some degree how wide you are. point is, with the same windshield on the same bike the wind is going to hit you anywhere from the upper chest up to you head depending on how you're built. The short yamaha shield did absolutely nothing except protect by lower chest a bit but it redirected the wind to my face. The batwing, with a curved shield pushed the air right at about eye level and depending on speed would rattle the **** out of my helmet. The bullet shield was a compromise of functionality and looks. it keeps the wind off my chest which is what was causing fatigue after a couple of hour of highway riding and it looks how i want it to with the added benefit of being able to take off the shield in 15 seconds if Im riding local. unfortunately, all of this means you don't know what work until you try it. On my first bike I had the full size tall windshield from Yamaha. That was by far the best wind protection for me. only problem is I, personally, don't like how it looks on MY Stryker. The slipstreamed you looked at isn't my style and have never used it so can't comment on it. Take a look at the Yamaha Stryker Groups on facebook if you want and you will see all of these options and might get more/better opinions on each. Good luck

Depends on your physical build and what your willing to compromise on. I’ve had a couple different windshields but personally I like the short Yamaha windshield because it is tall enough to keep the wind off my chest and not cause too much turbulence when I have my full face helmet on and it doesn’t take away from the lines of the bike. I also despise looking through a taller windshield. That said, the cool thing about the Yamaha short windshield is that if it’s too short for you, you can purchase a taller windshield from Rifle Fairings that works with the same hardware that comes with the Yamaha short windshield. Those windshields come in three different sizes, clear or tinted and I think you can even have custom sizes made. Whatever you choose, good luck and ride safe!

I have both boulevard and the rifle. I use the boulevard most of the time and switch to the bigger rifle when it's getting cold. I get no buffeting with the boulevard. Rifle is bigger and very rarely in a certain winds it can give some slight buffeting sensation but it is also good for the most part.
But I personally like the boulevard much better. It blocks enough wind to feel a huge difference when switching to a naked bike and it doesn't affect the bike. The bigger windshield sometimes feels like a sail.

I have a factory quick release, locking windshield for sale on Craigslist, if interested I can work with you on price.

I started out with the short Yamaha windshield as it came with the bike when I bought it. The wind hit me square in the face so the next year I bought the tall windshield. The tall one puts the wind just over the top of my helmet now. Couldn't be happier with it.

I bought the large Yamaha Stryker stock windscreen. I didn't want the small one because it was too short. I then had a plastic shop cut 1.5" off the top of the screen to make it the perfect height. I've ridden across the country with it, and it's perfect.

Goodness I hate buffeting. My windshield on my bike prior to this one would buffet like no one's business directly on my eyes. So at highway speeds my glasses would wobble and I couldn't see a thing. I decided to take the windshield off and take the wind to the chest.
On that bike it was a smooth wind. So it wasn't bad. But on the Stryker , it's a intense wind for some reason.. I'm considering that short almost m109r looking windshield. Not sure if that's the short Yamaha windshield y'all are referring to.
