So, on my most recent ride this past Saturday, I noticed in 4th and 5th gear that once in a while, it seemed like the engines stuttered/loss of power for a second. It didn't happen often. I know it's not the gas because I put premium in there. It's not the exhaust because the exhaust is stock; I only changed the muffler. I also have had Ivan's Flash done in the winter time, so it's not that. I did, however, recently change the oil and since the drain hole threads were stripped, I had to re-tap it and I installed the helicoil, but the tang/tab broke off in it. Now, would, for any reason the tang/tab be sucked up into the engine and would this cause that stuttering? There is also a ticking noise, but from reading a lot of posts on here and Googling a lot, the ticking is either the rocker arms, cam chain or valves?
When that tang broke off, I did pour new oil back in to try flushing out the broken tang. I did this a handful of times.
