Default Fuel mileage

Today I finished installing cobra slip on exhaust, cobra air intake, and Ivanís flash on my ecu. I filled my tank up with 87 regular and rode my bike to see if everything made a difference with my fuel mileage. I only got 25 miles to the gallon, mostly highway riding. I definitely noticed a difference with my gear ratio, but not so much with my fuel. How quickly did anyone else notice a difference with their fuel mileage after doing similar upgrades?

Hey WMIT,
First of all, welcome. Where are you from?

I would not go off one ride. I find my mileage varies a lot base on city/Hwy and season.

I have Cobra swepts, PowrPro, Flash, PCV and on the hwy in the summer can get mid 50 mpg. I am sure over time, you will see good numbers. I have been running this set up for a couple of years and the mileage is as good as stock with better power and functionality.

If your heavy on the throttle, mileage isn't going to be good no matter what. In this cooler weather I have used 89 octane and have seen a small increase. I am not easy on the throttle most times, I can average 125-145 miles to a tank. Depends on if I want Pole position or not. I'm in PA and many hills and traffic.

Agreed.

I have cobra swepts, power flo intake, Ivan's ECU and a PCV with a stock pulley. I run 89 octane because that is what my local station has in ethanol free. I typically ride highway to and from work averaging about 70 mph with a few stop lights. The indicator shows me 1 bar left around 120 miles usually. So I would say I average about 42-45 mpg. Now, if I go riding with some friends and/or my wife I can get into the 50's.

Powerflo, freedom performance sharp curves, flash. My mpg is drastically lower. Mainly because I like the way the pipes bark, and love the way the bike pulls. 😎
