****, I would say I would meet up with you guys and ride, but I know for a fact that my bike will still be worthless in 11 days, not to mention the fact I'm not sure I could physically ride at this point.

njuries are elusive, went to work yesterday felt fine, stayed up till 2:30 am this morning cussing every deity known to man because my arm hurt just as bad as the day it happened and couldn't sleep. Then miraculously around noon the pain subsided and I felt fine again. I have been feeling all the hidden bruised bones at this point as I climb around boilers all day.

Strykerjan, you are truly a brave and die-hard rider coming to this foreign land with people who murder the King's English. I wish I could meet you. I have a house outside Atlanta but spend most of my time in Alabama now. Too beat up and old to do the long trips (only in my mind). The weather here has cooled a bit but still much hotter than Britain. Please be careful and remember that the colonists ride on the wrong side of the road. ;D

Jeff City, is in the central/north central part of the state. There aren't many ways you can get their without coming through St. Louis. unless you make a giant loop around when coming from Nashville.

This route shows going on the northern roads through the city on highway I70. If you guys want a more scenic route, IMO, you can go on the southern highway through the city and us a smaller highway to get to Jefferson City, I44 to Highway 50. I drive 2-3000 miles a month for work in this area so I'm pretty familiar with the roads and prettier ways. I 70 is pretty boring, I44 to Highway 50 you will see lots of large rocky hills (not quite mountains), some rivers, and beautiful forests. Also the second route puts you within 10 miles of my house if you guys wanted or needed to stop for any reason you'd be more than welcome.

You can use mapquest.com it if you're familiar with it, it's easy and a great tool. Just use the directions function and plug in Nashville to Jefferson City. It will default you on I-70 as you come through Missouri.
