2009 V-Star 950

Hey guys-
We are selling my wife’s V-Star 950, she decided she wants a horse more than a bike. It’s a 2009 with 15K miles and we are asking $5999.00 Hard leather saddlebags, freeway bars, floorboards and heel-to-toe shifter. She replaced the passenger seat with a chrome luggage rack, but we have the seat and will include it. Title is clear, we own it, and California registration is current through July 2013. The bike runs great, shifts smooth, has a new drive belt and has given us no issues. We have taken it to the dealer for all routine maintenance. If you are interested call or text me at 951-966-1220 or e-mail me at [email protected]. Thanks, Jerry.

So firelt, do you or you wife have any experience with horses? Owning one? Taking care of one? The coast of boarding one or pasturing one. Or do you have property large enough for a horse. Who is going to be responsible for feeding it, water, shoveling ****. Do you have a place for a manure/ compos pile or a garden to put it in. How about all the gear that you need for riding, saddle, pads, Etc. etc. I will assume you know all this and the fact that when you park a bike you shut it of and forget about in , not so with a horse. Don't mean to sound like I'm trying to turn you away from horses. Just curious if you are aware of everything involved in owning a horse. My wife has had horses all here life since she was 15 years old. She is 50 now. We had 5 horses until the last 2 years we have got ride of 2 and one died. And the one one I was riding is going back to it's original owner because I had neck surgery and wont be getting on a horse maybe the rest of my life. Still going to ride my bike though. My wife is now talking about selling hers because she has decided that she likes riding bikes much better. She also has a 950 that she has put 10,000 miles on it this year. Her first bike ever. I can tell you and even she says that horses are much much more work to take care of and can be costly to. Not to mention they are more dangerous than bikes. They are more like a pet or family member though. Good luck.

Bikes are new to my wife, she bought one because I have one and she wanted to ride with me. She decided it's not as much fun as she thought it would be. Horses, on the other hand have been a constant in my wife's life for 40 years, her specialty is reining. She is more than well acquainted with the requirements of equine ownership.......lol. I, on the other hand know that I put money in one end of the horse and get poop out of the other end........ ;D I'll take my Stryker any day.

Anyhow, it's a nice bike- it's just gathering dust in the garage and needs a new owner that will ride it.
