Hello my name is Jason, on here as Taz56. I live in Calgary Alberta Canada.

I bought a brand new 2011 Yamaha Stryker a few years back and have been riding it stock.

Recently I decided I wanted to do some upgrades.

I bought from Phat Performance a new set of Cobra Speadster Swept black pipes, a Cobra air Intake with K&N filter and a Power Commander 5. I have a buddy that helped me install all three parts, I downloaded the map that was closest to what I had done (only 5 maps to choose from and none were exact) and off I went. The bike sounds like a real machine now instead of the tin sound it came out with stock. We literally put it all together earlier tonight.

1) So was I right to just download the map from the power commander website, install it and I am done?

2) I seem to hear a clicking sound as I drive now that was never there before. Is that just the open intake now as opposed to the fully covered one from before? We double checked everything, we did not install anything wrong or miss anything. Is it just new equipment making new sounds and I will get used to it?

3) Do you recommend getting it Dyno'd or is the map I got from the website going to be good enough?

I have more but will put them in other threads...

Thanks everyone.

Welcome from Nebraska!

With the PCV (Power Commander 5), it should really be dyno'd to be positive you are set.

Welcome From Wisconsin!

Dyno tuning will give you the "best" settings for your exact set up, but in my opinion, it isn't completely necessary. If the map you have seems to work, then I wouldn't spend the extra money on a dyno shop. If you notice chugging, or it feels like it loses power through certain rpm ranges, or it shows any signs of running rich or lean, then I would have it tuned. If you don't notice any of that, then you should be good to go.
