just found it odd that the 2011's are higher in price from FL dealers.

I should bite the bullet and go ahad and get the ol' lady a 2012, even though she wants a sport bike.

Wow, those seem like some killer deals...
I'm in the market to soon purchase a Stryker and cheapest I've seen for a 11' or 11' brand new was 8,999. Most places seem to be asking 10k ish. But that's here in SoCal where u can ride year round... So maybe it's just more out here.

I just bought my '12 in Knoxville, TN last month for $9100, plus tax, etc. Here in Johnson City, TN the prices were "marked down" to $11,500 plus tax- so of course I drove the 150 or so miles for the difference, and am using the money I saved to pick up accessories as I find them. Just got Cobra Swepts off Ebay for $534, free shipping, if anyone's looking... and my old man wants me to wait for him to get back from work to help me put them on. So I'm trying to behave and not just do it myself, haha!

Mid 10k is the average price for new OTD. Just be wary of dealers offering 9k and below. My experience is that they lure you in with a low ball number and then start jacking up the negotiation with outragous setup fees and destinations charges. Checkout the dealer in San Juan Capistrano. They are closing and are sure to want to move the inventory and they seemed to be fair. I am sure a few local owners have bought from them. I bought used 2 months ago and had I known they were going to close I am sure I could have gotten a new one for what I paid used.

Thanks for the info!
Also when did the 13' models come out? And when do they release the 14' models?
Anyone know if the 14' models will be the same as the other models? Other than the typical gas tank graphics change?

Btw is that ur bike in ur avatar pic?
Reddish copper color w/black?

That or the all blacked out raven are the 2 I'm considering.

They started showing up in September/October (just like cars) time frame depending on how much older inventory the dealer has. From what I have seen Yamaha does very little changing from one year to the next across thier model lines. A 2012 Raider is nearly identical to the ones I see that are 4 or 5 years old. Which to me is a good thing. The only thing that seems to benefit by waiting is the cash back incentives you get on the models that are 1-2 years old.

Yes that is my bike. I considered a new 11' Blue and almost pulled the trigger last summer but finances got in the way. The blue was unique but over time I became anti-chrome and wanted something other than black on the tins. The choice became clear. I just love the two tone look. Get prepared for getting complimented a lot when you get this bike. Parked it this morning at a client's and a security guard came over to get a eyeful and to compliment how bad ass it looked. I will never get tired of that.

Derek if you can get it for that price go for it that is a nice deal. I believe our ravens were a little more than the colored ones. :flame::flame::cool::cool:

OTD(out the door) is the price you want to compare. Sure there are differences in taxes, title and the like but the bottom line is OTD.
As for 2011 being less, that's carry over costs coming in to play. Same thing for cars since the dealership has been carrying the vehicle for X months and wants to offload it and stop paying. Often the new models are less but usually because the factory is kicking in a great incentive to keep things moving, people employed etc. Factories/MFG don't care about last year since that was last year. Tuff luv:(

Take the best deal. The depreciation hit on a prior year is minimal since all vehicles take a huge hit the first 1-3 years.
