All I can say is...WOW! That must have been a remarkable trip. How long where you gone? Did you just travel with a few people?

We keep saying we don't get out much and your pics prove it!

It started out with 3 riders to St Louis MO from there it was just 2 of us...we made it to the West Central Raider Rally in Lead SD...from there headed over the Big Horn moutains to Cody WY - spent 3 days riding Yelowstone before riding past the Grand Teton on our way to the Western Area Raider Rally in Carson City NV - Desiree and her husband Ares X were there - on the return trip crossed Hwy 50 and yes it is the lonliest hwy in America - made a breaKfast stop @ Middlegate Station for breakfast before riding into Utah (Green River) the next day was Hwy 128 into Moab ( Canyon Lands, Dead Horse Point and Arches ) to Ridgeway CO - the next day rode the Million Dollar Hwy to Durango then over to Walsenburg Co....What was the craziest thing we saw besides the wind, rain, hail, snow - elk, big horn sheep, deer, bears....it was probably the guy @ Rondo's Black Derby restaurant outside Walsenburg - 6'2" beard to his belt buckle and wearing a Kilt - but the food was really good!!
The best part of the trip were the friends we met/new friends we made........oh did I mention that the manager of the Super 8 in Carson City rode with me for 2 days

Inspirational. What an unquestioned beautiful country the United States is. Thanks.

Tire flats or changes?

Oil changes?

Gas bill?

Did you see more Bison or VW Bugs?

There has to be a database of cool food stops across the U.S. and Canada for friends and bikes.

Great post.

I've put over 13,000 on my Avon 240 getting it replace next week, with an oil change-the bike did great-it was dynoed in 08 in Daytona 12' above sea level- some of the mountain passes we rode were over 11,000 ft bike ran great- as for mpg that varied sometimes 35 sometimes 45 depended on the octane level we were able to get - saw a wad of buffalo as well as elk, big horn sheep, black bear, one grizzily, deer, priaire dogs and as you saw in the pics a cool chipmonk....lol

Roadkill - You never expanded on you manager story....was she a passenger on your bike, or did she ride along with you? I'm assuming that's her in your post pics. Sounds like an interesting story to just leave us hanging!
