Put a power Commander 5 on a few years ago. The only change to the bike is a Cobra 4" Single pipe and a K&N filter. As we know not many maps for this bike. Has anyone have this PC5 and Autotune setup? Just wondering if any baseline map I should use or let the Autotune do its work?

I have had one of these bike since the day they came out and have put probably over 10 grand in BS on mine until I found everything that worked best together, getting the ECM flashed and tuned for your particular set-up made the BIGGEST impact and also got rid of all the bike's quirks and weird ****. A tuner is no longer needed, nor is the O2 sensor. His name is Ivan, 3 day turn around. There are many forums out there with all this information but you can find most of it at Ivansperformanceproducts.com.

Not trying to sway you this way and that, PC5 is a great product, just do some research before you spend all that money, wish I had! 🙂

I just sent him mine a few moths ago and got rid of my Cobra. It runs so much smoother, I'm tempted to take the baffles out of my pipes be cause it doesn't "seem" as loud. No more pops, backfires, stutters. It's just a great fix & I haven't even added the intake yet which should make it even better.

If doing the baffles is in your budget now, it is not a bad solution but you will still have the cat in the way causing restriction so I don't think you gain anything other than sound.

The best sound and performance will come from an intake and aftermarket pipes but that is a big spend.

Good luck.

Big money... Lol especially all the stuff I ordered from LowandMean, and the cobra intake and swept pipes. I got lazy though and left my cobro pro auto tuner on even WITH the flash. Ivan says there's no difference except his "new" tune ALLOWS for the removal of the tuner if u wanna sell it, otherwise you can just leave it there. I guess if anyone is interested in a cobra power pro i2000 auto tuner, let me know lol

Technically I haven't answered your question about your power commander lol sorry. Just sharing my experience as a way you could maybe get around having to mess with it??? I haven't had to touch my bike since Ivan flashed it, and it's been at its peak performance and efficiency. Otherwise, I'd suggest letting auto tune do its job, my power pro cobra technically "dynos" the bike 80 times per second and it hasn't let me down yet, and not ONE popcorn pop, ever.

Well the money was spent for the Autotune so it will be tried out. I have not spent a lot of money on the bike so if
I am not happy what is another 350.00 American. Oh about 450.00 Canadian.

Per my conversation with Dynojet, I installed one of the maps as a baseline.

GF hopped on her Harley, and me on the Stryker. Did a 175 kilometer ride. Needless to say what a difference. I was trying to not ride to hard so the tuner could do its thing. Pretty hard when she leads and cruises at 20 to 30 kmh over the speed limit. I just wanted to ride steady at say 100, 110, 120 kmh for periods of time with no hard accelerations for the first run. Did not go that way. Just trying to follow recommendations.

Anyhow plugged laptop in, looked at trims, and sent map. Saved screen shots as well of the mappings.

What a difference.

Did another 150 km run myself yesterday tzking it like I wanted. Got home and plugged in. Were some changes but not as drastic. More screen shots then sent map.

Definately a big difference.

Who knows may send the ECU this winter for a flashing. Just worried that if it gets lost in transit......Guess I would ship Fedex.

I still use the stock airbox. Just not a fan of the big open air intakes. Hate the thought of being on a long cross country trip and rain. Any thoughts on that?

One question if anyone knows. They talk about installing a cutoff switch for the autotune so it could just run using the map that has been sent versus constantly tuning. I am assuming it is just a cutoff switch to kill the power to the Autotune? So I could just put it inline with the ground lead of the Autotune?

No worries about rain with an intake. I have a Cobra Powerflo and in 5 years have never had an issue. It is less open than others but I figure I would have to run a hose into it to see water get through the filter. Just my opinion.
