I am joining the 240 club this weekend. After almost 11k on the stock it is time. I am excited for the difference in handling and feel. I am going with the Avon 240 and am also changing the from to Avon as well.

I just did the same thing but only got about 5.5 out of the stocker. I already have the 240 on the rim and back on the bike but haven't adjusted the belt and buttoned everything down yet. Hoping I can do that this weekend. Like you, I cant wait to take a ride with my new Avon 240. I am also going with the Ride On stuff for balancing and protection. So I still need to do that after I get her all buttoned back up.

I've had my 240 for just over a month now and it is by far the best thing I have done to my Stryker. I almost never scrape my footpegs anymore unless I really press into the curve. It rides a little higher, but it isn't a bad thing.

I'm 6' (well, technically 5' 11 3/4" according to the Air Force :D) with a 34" inseam, so height, in and of itself, won't be the issue. I have, however, become accustomed to the overall bike height and will use Soupy's lowering links if I don't like the change.

Give it a couple hundred miles before you change your mind. It took me about 2 days to adjust, but after trying out a 210 again, I never want to go back. Course then again, I'm 6'3" (74 inches though by Air Force determination) so that may be to my advantage. Best of luck though.

I haven't ordered the links yet. And, I tend to ride at least 30 to 50 miles every day, so I'll definitely have a chance to decide whether I like the height change or not. If I do lower it, it will be purely for aesthetics, not need. I'll still sit flat-footed with my knees bent with the added height.

Finished buttoning mine all up tonight. I had forgot about the need to shave down the lower belt guard so when I was spinning the wheel I was wondering what was rubbing. Once I saw where the sound was coming from I remembered the other threads talking about the need to shave the lower belt guard inner nub. Didn't get to ride it, that will come tomorrow but sat on it and was very happy that it raised me up maybe 1/4 inch. That was a huge concern of mine that it would raise me up too much being height challenged and all. All is good and cant wait till tomorrow to see how she feels.

Afaik rubbing occur only when using a 250 tire not 240

It Just barely rubbed on the bottom belt guard had to use my dremel and sand off the little nub or raised area on back off guard near tire. It was very little. If you do a search on the forum hear, I believe someone has posted pictures of What to trim.
