My 210 that came stock on my Stryker is just now starting to show wear after 11,000 miles. With the 240s do they last near as long? I do a lot of riding and it would be pointless to shell out $250 every 8,000 miles of a **** tire.

I got a whopping 4200miles (rounded up) from my stock rear rubber. As above, I'm aggressive but don't do burn-outs, but I ride alot of rural country roads, (since that's where I live), the kind that are tar-n-chip and patched up old asphalt. I have hit a few roadkills before, but I was thinkin' that would've PROLONGED my tire life!!! Just got a new 240 series Elite 3 put on the Stryker, we'll see how long she'll last!

I don't see cords or anything, but **** guys not even the double digits? I do a lot of highway riding and will get a little cocky into the twisties, but I don't do any burnouts anyway. So I'm starting to think that the general theme here is that you won't get more than about 8,000 out of a 240 tire and that the 210 wears faster than my ex in-laws.

That's great two oil changes and the tire is shot.

Wow, my stock 210 only lasted about 6600 before cords were showing, aggressive rider, but I have never done a burnout. Just slapped a Metzler 240 on it Monday. Hope it lasts a little longer.
Same here!

I have the Avon on now and it is way to soon to tell.. I have only put about 500 miles on it..lol...

Tire mileage has a lot to do with how much weight you're putting on it. I weigh about 187 pounds, I'm 5'11 and usually got about 5,000 miles out of a set of pilot power tires on my R6. On the other hand, my friend is a yeti. He's 6'4, 300lbs and can't get 3,000 out of a stock cruiser tire.

im at 5500 miles on my stock 210 and was hoping they would last a full season for me... guess not, it wears quicker each day. i thought i might of had a defictive tire when i first notised the wear go quicker and quicker, but after reading what some guys are getting out of theirs, not so sure anymore. right now the left side is bald and the middle and right side has little tread depth. the tire profile has changed alot within the last week or 2. its no longer round but now kinda hex'ed, flat-ish on the left, the right, and in the middle. iv seen the middle flaten out but not the sides too. well i guess im getting my 240 very soon, alot sooner then expected, but was hoping to see some post on how many miles your getting from the different brands. i need to get a good one that will last for me and my aggressive riding

it's all going to depend upon your riding style and surfaces your riding on, i put on an Avo 250 at 4k, it was hardly showing signs of wear after 7k until i road it to las Vegas, dam super slab and popcorn roads destroyed that tire, it was literally flat in the middle after that trip

I thought this thread was about something else, but I'll ask anyway... Does a 240 improve gas mileage? Being larger, the engine should have to work a little less to achieve same speeds as 210. Has anyone noticed any improvement on the 240 versus 210?

Wow, I got over 12K on my stock tire, and it was still good when I put the 240 Cobra on. I'm not too much of an aggressive rider. Just a little. Hope the 240 last a good while!

Well, I weigh 260, and I downshift when coming to a stop. I have about 9500 miles on the stock rubber. With fall/winter coming my riding is winding down a little each week. I will need a new set this spring, but from what most folks on here are reporting 10,000 miles is pretty good for the stock tires.
