Just got back from an amazing road trip.

Day 1 : Raleigh, NC to Front Royal, VA via Appomattox & Skyline Drive
Day 2 : To Philadelphia, PA via Harpers Ferry, Antietam & Gettysburg
Day 3 : To NYC
Day 4 : To Chinqateague, VA via Staten Island, NJ, DE & Cape May Ferry
Day 5 : To Raleigh via Chesapeake Bay Bridge

Caught two Red Sox games - 1 in Philly and 1 at Yankee Stadium. Weather was perfect - didn't have to break out the rain gear once. Traffic into Philly & NYC was terrible and Jersey has some of the worst road surfaces I've ever experienced - but rest of the ride was fantastic.

Some pictures ...

Nice. I haven't done a long trip like that in quite a few years. Maybe it's time again soon. glad the weather cooperated.

Looks like a great trip, Flem. I'm originally from the Baltimore-Washington corridor, so I'm familiar with a lot of that area.

Here's the inevitable question...what bag is that? It looks like a great option for solo riding.

The bag is a Saddlemen Sport Tunnel Bag. Unfortunately I can't recommend it as the straps used to keep it secured just don't do the job well enough. It was constantly shifting to the left or right - not so much that I thought it would fall off - but enough to be annoying and need regular adjustment.

Here's a link if you're still interested, though ...

I'm glad someone asked you about that... I've had this bag in my wish list for months. It's really looks like the ultimate tail bag. I wonder if there's a way to modify how it attaches to the bike for a more secure fit?

Amazon has it for about $10 bucks cheaper, with free shipping.

Yeah, was thinking about that. I think I can probably fix the problem by glueing the straps that go around the seat to the pad that the bag attaches to. That should prevent the sliding around. I hope that works because otherwise it's a really nice bag.
