Hey all
Im sure most if not all these questions have been discussed on this forum.....but I do not have a home computer right now so im usin my phone....and its kind of a pita to search. Thnx for bearing with me....ha.

If u have seen my other posts...u might remember that this is my first bike and im pretty much learning how to ride as I go. Yesterday while practicing a tight u turn on a slight slope.....I dropped the bike.....yikes!
I realize there is a learning curve so im not too embarrased about it.....I figured it was bound to happen at some point.
I did get the highway bars just for that tho.....so there is not really much damage at all. Just a few scrapes on the bar, end of clutch lever, mirror, rear turn signal, and whatever the bar is called under the swinarm....
So that leads me to the questions....

What is the best touch up paint for that "powdercoated" black? Looks like any ol satin black might work but wanted to see what u guys thought.

The mirror is very minimal....cant even notice it. The turn signal scrapes look pretty ****ty tho.....to me at least. Probly cuz its on the nice glossy paint.

Anyways.....in a way im kind of glad it happened cuz now I can just look into aftermarket signals and mirrors.....:) ill wait tho til I get better.....no point in spending the money on the new stuff just to drop the bike again and ruin it. Ill let the stock stuff take a beating first.....lol.

I love the low mean integrated taillight. Not sure what to do with fronts tho. Dont really like the wraparounds. The ones with the signals Iin the mirrors are ok....just as long as they dont look too scooterish...haha.

So for the time being....I chopped the stock rear plastic crap. Cutoff all those reflectors and junk. Raised up the plate and just zip tied it. Looks alot better. Ill try to post a pic.

Also went ahead and removed front reflectors. ...did u guys just leave the brake line hang? Doesnt seem like Iit would flop around.....if secured....how did u do it?

On the front left reflector- I cut the bracket off leaving the part for the brake line and removing the part with the reflector. Just used a little black paint with model brush to bare metal.

Sorry to hear about the drop. Hopefully that is the last drop but now the bike has character. The rake on this bike makes it handle much different than other bikes.

Others have replaced their grips and mirrors as well as lolly pops so put up a Want to Buy thread and I am sure you can replace these easily and cheaply.

Previous owner removed my front reflector and just used a black zip tie but I have black on the lower fork tubes. Don't even notice it now.

Sorry to hear about you misfortune, but better to drop it while practicing than while on the road. Consider it a lesson learned. ditto on cutting the bracket for the brake line. A little rattle can primer and flat black takes care of the bare metal. As for mirrors, have a look at Demon Cycle. They have a nice selection of good quality mirrors for not a lot of money. I got a set from them as was pleasantly surprised at the high quality for the $30 I spent.
