Hello all I just got my 2011 Stryker a couple of weeks ago and was wanting to replace the seat. I have read many of the posts but haven't been able to decide what would be best. I'm only 5'2" and have read that the Mustang seat pushes you forward and at my size that wouldn't be a problem. I would like some feedback on the aftermarket seats you have as far as comfort and change in riding position. I appreciate any help and or opinions. Thanks.

I am looking for more comfort. I am good as far as the reach to the ground and not much into lowering already low bikes. My last bike a Suzuki M50 I lowered it and also put a slimmer seat on . I was just trying to get a feel on changes in seating position as being moved up a little is not an issue with me. A lesser width seat will also help with flat footing a bike so any comments on the width compared to the stock seat would help. Here is the list of the seats and was just trying to get a feel if any changed the riding position much and th ecomfort. Solo seats are fine as I don't ride two up. Once again any assistance or comments are welcome

Mustang - From what I have read it pushes you closer to the tank.

Corbin- No real change in seating position, Harder seat but generaly confortable once they break in.

Parts Unlimted- Not much info on this seat I can find as far as seating position.

Star Comfort Seat- I can't find anything on this site about it.

I may pick up my stock seat today then I can give a little info on the comfort cruise seat... I've only rode the bike 1 time with the stock seat, the cruise is more comfortable but the seat pad is thicker than stock and a little firmer. It is just as wide I'd say, and it may push you forward a little 1/2-3/4 of an inch. The seat pan is also different stock is plastic cruise looks like fiberglass and the rear hook is different it has a metal tab that faces back unlike the stock

The Mustang seat offers better back support than the stock & the passenger seat has alot more padding than stock. Now my wife & I can go on 200+ mile day trips with no numbness. The one negative is the Mustang seat pushing you forward. I had to install the 3" forward ext kit.

I'm one of the few it seems that hates the mustang seat. I put 300-400 miles on it and hated it. Totally changed the ride position. Felt like you were on top of the bike. I went with the parts unlimited solo. Instantly better. More comfort better back support even without the added detachable backrest. I think I'm going to see about customizing my stock seat if I do any 2 person rides.

Mustang solo seat with drivers backrest is by far your best choice. if you have any height concerns than get a lowering spring from low and mean as-well. not only does the combo look fantastic but its like riding on a lazy boy. quite honestly don't get the forward controls though if your only 5'2" you might find them a bit too much of a forward stretch depending on the length of your legs.

The old lady and I both love the Corbin dual touring seat. I have tried a lot of different seat makers over the years with my previous bikes and the only two I will ever go back to are Corbin and Mustang. Corbin has the slight edge for me for two reasons. 1 They tend to give me more support on the long rides and 2 you can pick the pattern you want on your seat. I love being tacky so the black snake skin design on my copper Stryker gets me to smile all the time.
