Just thought I would share a funny story that happened Saturday. I took a friend on her first bike ride and decided to stop by the local Harley shop to look at some riding glasses. As we get near the parking lot I see they are having a Ford car show mixed with a Harley bike show. I am a little nervous as we pull into the lot because a lot of people are looking at me and the bike and it is the first time I have had a passenger on the bike. I follow the guy on the Harley in front of me over to the usual bike parking spots and pull in. We get off the bike and go in to the retail area without really looking around. Of course the glasses were over priced and were covered in Harley logos so we came back out.
When we walk back out I realize that the guy I followed in was entering the show and all the bikes I parked next to were in the competition. There is a small circle of people around my bike and a judge is looking at it and writing stuff down. I chuckle to myself but I am still a little worried that some of the die hard Harley guys are going to give me some beef about my bike. We decide we want to head to the Yamaha shop so I walk over to them and slide the key in and crank her up. The cute female judge smiles at me and my rider and I hop on the bike and leave out. The bike got a tons of looks and people were pointing and nodding and it was a great experience.
