I added a Star quick release backrest.

It was amazingly easy, no instructions needed; just replace four bolts.

I love it because I can take it off when cruising alone to work, but slip it on when taking a weekend ride so the ***** doesn't complain.

Of course, from the side the bike looks pretty much like stock when the backrest is removed. However, if you look from the back or front you will notice the frankenstein bolts sticking out.

You don't need any tools to remove it. There is a little spring loaded tab that you pull on both sides and then it just lifts off. There is also a lock and keyhole on the left side. The backrest comes with two keys. When it is locked it prevents the left side tab from moving so no one can steal it.

Thanks for the info and the pic! I can live with those Frankenstein bolts. LOL
I hope to get one with my income tax return. Where did you order from? I've seen some on Ebay for 350 with the pad. Probably cheaper than my dealer.

She may still complain.

My wife let me ride her Stryker while she rode ***** so we could pick up my Raider after getting tires and she said that back seat is not comfortable at all. We're hoping to do a solo seat for her.

Yeah! I have these on my Raider and have no issues with them. Well, except for the back ones some times make some noise, but you can remedy that with a small zip tie to keep the back piece from moving around the backrest isn't in place.
