Thanks guys and gals.

Switching to after market pipes will offset the weight you added with the engine guard. Very little demand for the stock pipes and they will be a pain to box and ship in my opinion. Changing the exhaust is probably the first mod most of us do. Some one at some point may want them, but it depends how long you want to store them. I think the exhaust is over a $1k to replace from Yamaha but low demand will put it around a $100 used and shipping won't be cheap.

The stock exhaust costs about $35 to ship through USPS Standard Post. If you're able to find a buyer, it'll be extra money in your pocket, but you'll probably end up sitting on them for a while.

As far as spending $800 on a new exhaust: Don't!

You can buy a set online for around $600 depending on what you want. The exhaust is very easy to change by yourself, and there is plenty of information on this forum to help you out.

Change just the windshield with a Rifle replacement will help a lot. They mount direct to the Boulevard brackets. Different sizes and tints available. I bought their 13 inch dark tinted shield and it took the buffeting away from my full face helmet, but will still get bug splats. I am 6'1" when I'm not slouching.

I kept all my stock parts. If I ever wreck or dump it I will put it all back on before the insurance gets a hold of it...as for your cost of the things you bought I would be looking somewhere else for a better deal and consider trying to install some things on your own.

It was the kuryakyn grips..i got short fingers...had a different feel..put back the factory grip and felt more comfortable...i dont believe the weight made the bike sluggish..just the feeling...its my first big bike...at least bigger than what ive been riding...swapped out the tall windshield..made a world difference than the shorter one..ended up keeping evrything..as the owner wouldnt take back the items..anyhow..next will be the pipes..looking at vance n hines...any suggestion on the installation.?

Try denniskirk or some other online store. I have Vance & Hines...installed them myself. Did have a friend help hold the rear of the pipe while adjusting.

Someone else also mentioned you can save a lot of $$$ by doing self installs.

First mistake is buying aftermarket parts from the dealer. Even with the 15% discount is more than any where else.

keep any stock parts you take off. Two main reasons, you may want or need to put them back on some day, and, stock parts can cost more than twice what aftermarket parts do. You will never get near the cost of stock parts from anyone even if you find someone to by them.. For example, Stock, full exhaust system is over $1,700 if I remember correctly. Some of the most exspencive aftermarket full exhaust systems for the Stryker from the highest priced places are not even $800

What you added shouldn't make the bike sluggish....there are several guys that ride two up and don't have any issues.
I have to quote this, because it's completely not true :). There is a tremendous difference from two up to solo on our 1300 bikes. When I was down in maggie, I could almost never hit our max gear while riding anywhere 2 up(as a reference). Sure 2 up is perfectly fine in long highways, but not in twisties.. and I can easily tell a very big power difference.

I should also say i have 7500 miles on my bike, with probably 7k 2up. (not bragging, because that mile count is probably low to someone like toby.. or anyone not living in IL)

I forgot to comment on the sluggish thing. To start with there is not enough weight involve in the mods he put on to slow this bike down at all. I think what the he is experiencing is the slight drag the windshield creates. But even that is slight but noticeable. Part of the feeling of going slower or loss of acceleration is due to the lack of wind hitting you.
When I put a shield on my bike it was deffenetally harder to reach top speeds. But at lower speeds the acceleration didn't change. What I did notice was when I though I was going much slower hitting freeway speeds I actually was already going past the speed limit.
