Has anyone here tried an aftermarket steel rear fender on their Stryker? I put the kustomwerks lowboy front on and would like to find something for the rear. Two reasons, one I'd like to get rid of the ducktail on the back and the current fender seems a bit short to do much in the way of creative cutting and two I'm trying to get the bike ready for paint this summer but want to keep it ride-able while I'm working on it. Finding a second stock rear to experiment with seems near impossible at a reasonable price ($325 on fleabay) so I was thinking a good steel aftermarket fender might work. Need to keep the radius the same for seat fitment reasons. Guess I'll have to take a few measurements and see what's out there. Any ideas?

I'm in the middle of fabricating one now. I'm using a stock fender and plan to mate a full wrap fender to it.
That should be cool to see. I always was curious what that would look like. The only drawback i have with a full wrap rear fender is i like showing off the 240 tire i have, but thats the only drawback. Would i put a full wrap on my stryker if one was made...... yes

Hmmm not that's an idea I hadn't thought of, mating an aftermarket fender to the stock. Look forward to seeing the results.
