So I'm a new stryker owner and would love to put a set of the cobra speedster swept on my bike, but the MSRP $800 price tag is hard to swallow. Do these things ever go on sale?

A quick google search turned these up for about $600 but from a place I've never heard of...where is the best place to get these?

Thanks!

I'm in a similar dilemma. I want the aftermarket pipes (and air intake/filter) but togeather they wind up costing nearly 10% of the total bike value...plus I don't trust myself enough to DIY. The last time I messed around with tools and a bike there were extra ball-bearings. And I don't have that bike anymore. I could manage the air, but not the exhaust.

I'm in the same boat with you guys. From my understanding, it is going to take the pipes, intake, and programmer to make it work right. That's a cool $1,000, but the Stryker will sound great and supposedly picks up a ton of power....like you really need that.

I purchased my Cobra swept exhaust from Phat Performance for $604.95.

Programmer is not neccesary till you change intake and exhaust.

Either intake or exhaust but not both going with what L&M has to say about the subject. With the bike running lean going tuner first might be the better option, also it could almost be called a sleeper, looks stock but runs much better then you also have a good start with any other mods you would preform.....cutting the Air box mod and gutting exhaust both are simple mods till your ready to buy aftermarket.

In other words, you can change the exhaust alone without the need to buy a tuner as long as you keep the stock air intake

YES

And swapping out the exhaust is fairly easy. I'm no mechanic and I did mine. You can always wait and do the intake and fuel processor later, but the exhaust was top priority for me. The sound of the stock pipes is lousy.
