I used the idea about drilling the Stock Air Box and also added 1/2 holes on the very bottom, and each lower side. They holes can't be seen from the front or rear but should give maximum air flow with the back also removed. My K&N is on the way.

Good idea.............did the same thing to my air box on the "X"

Then added bug screen to keep out the big bug.

I am considering modding my stock air box as well. I love the way the stock box looks with my big radius pipes. I am curious if you have seen a performance boost from this? Also another member stated that after doing this the air box was very loud(heard over pipes) is this normal and how does it sound? Thanks
