I'm going to buy a Wolo 419 air horn. Has anyone installed a air horn in the stock location using the stock bracket? I've searched several threads and haven't found what i'm looking for.

Physically, you can mount it to any 1" bar with that clamp. I mounted mine in the same place as Joe (don't know whether he did his first or I did mine first) and mounted the relay in the place of the original horn.

OK I have to be the dissenting view in that I hate the original horn's location let alone putting a bigger horn there. Just cluttered to start with but I fully get the benefit of a louder/deeper horn.
Dual horns up by the top of the radiator would be nice and effective.
Moving mine to the left side like I believe Visionary did once my neighbor can get the SS bracket done at work. It's me not him that is causing the delay since I just need to give him the dimensions. Thank god for people with access to machine shops. I miss the access I had when I worked there but it was a college job and after graduation the climate controlled environment and salary made the memories fade... Still all those machines and people willing to do side projects was awesome!!

I used 3 of these rubber and metal pipe clamps to mount it on the frame just above the original horn location. They work really well, as the rubber absorbs vibration and won't scratch the frame. Being black and silver, it also matches the color scheme of my Stryker. It's mounted low enough that I was able to use the original horn leads, and just heat shrink wrapped all the wires and connections.

Metal Wheel

This was the final outcome...

I had my first air horn fitted to the stock position and trashed it on my first ride.... so I got a bracket made up and used the two screws under the triple tree above the radiator.... so far so good...

You are going to be very disappointed and in the market for either metal work or a new fender if you leave it there brother. Others have tried with disastrous results.
The first REAL hard bump and your fender will be toast.

I totally agree with AR here, heck I had my guardian bell torn off after a good bump and it is place on top of the lower tipple tree.

I took the bracket from the left front wheel reflector and mounted it to stock location with the wolo. stronger steel and the holes were sized perfectly for stock bolts. Still want to get it a little higher off the ground since I lightly scraped it a couple of times already but happy with it for now.

I saw that the horn mount/cover from SS Customs in going into production. Couldnt tell from the pic if it would be big enough to cover the wolo though.

Maybe not the whole WOLO but it may cover the Horn part. They are fairly easy to separate. One air fitting and some hose, 2 band clamps and you're in business. That's prolly the route I will take.
