I had searched for and found BikerBrackets.com about their Big Boar Air Ride kit. I didn't see it listed for the Stryker, so I emailed them and they said the kit for the VStar1100 is the exact fit for the Stryker. Many thanks to B-in-Bang for inspiring that search. Cool mod indeed. Years ago i had a bagged Toyota Tacoma minitruck as a daily driver. This was no hack-job as it was professionally done and the quality was top notch. long story short it was awesome and fun but ultimately a pain in the ars. i'd hate to risk ruining the reliability of my bike. I'm not saying this would do that...i'm just concerned do to prior experiences with air ride.

I really like this mod and as soon as I get a bike it will be on the list of things to do for sure. I like the fact you can adjust the height, so if your 2up you don't have to worry about being too low and possibly bottoming out.

I've heard that the V-star 1300 is the exact same setup as well. Still didn't use either kit tho...I'm bout to post which kit I used on my original thread. Great research!

It looks like it dosn't have any damping features, just adjusts the ride height? It's cool as **** but how do they ride with no damping? I Could be wrong it has happend before. Maybe it's not as important with the air sysrtem?

a typical air shock has a little dampening from the air pressure on the piston in the shock. other non typical shocks like the one b in bang used are built around a Qa1 shock so they have a typical oil type shock in the middle so you can adjust compression and rebound. ya you give up a little on performance with the typical air shock but still works.

Has anyone heard anything about the ride quality of the big boar kits? Seems like without the adjustable shock you are limited to just one type of setting. I'd check some other forums and get some input. I know with the QA1 shock on mine I can get it to float like a caddy or be stiffer than the stock settings. I would hate to see you guys shell out that much cash and be stuck with something you hate. At least consider it. May be worth the extra bucks to have some adjustments. Either way, let us know how it turns out!
