Pretty much everywhere I ride some A$$ hat ask me if my bike is a Harley Nightrod . To me it's a night and day difference. soo am I the only one? On a side note I won third place in a bike comp. out of 39 bikes. Harleys, crotchrockets, and a few M109's over the weekend. 8)

good stories...
I've been asked by a Harley rider if my bike was a harley. and on some bike runs i have been complimented on the look of the Stryker. but mostly i get the "i like that look, and the rake on that wheel... does it turn fast on you?". to which i say "hopefully when i look in my rearview, you wont be to far to ask you 'did it look like it?'".

I have gone places and had a crowd attacted to checking out the bike. I remember one morning at Hardee's I had a bunch of old timers checking it out for about twenty minutes. People ask me regularly what it is.

I've noticed that the majority of people who ask me this question really don't know bikes. The only motorcycle they know is Harley, so they would ask you this same question if I was riding a Schwinn. ;D

I had one guy ask me if it was a Suzuki, I said nah its a Yamaha..

I did have one guy ask me yesterday if it was all custom. I said no, its all stock. He was reallly surprised that that was a stock looking bike. (I did mention the pipes are aftermarket..)

The South Park was fantastic. This is satire at it's best. Let's face it...really loud pipes ARE annoying. Eventually, most riders come to this conclusion if they live long enough and don't go deaf before they must give up riding. So why make it loud then put in ear plugs to cut the wind and engine noise and leave the loud noise behind you. There is a happy medium where you can hear the sound of the engine and feel the shift points and know you're not riding an electric M/C. Try riding behind a really loud bike for a couple of hours. You'll get the point. Now so much for this sermon, I can't wait to get those straight pipes I've ordered.
