So as I was cruising down the road, I came up on another biker on his Harley, with his girl on the back. He was going real slow and had his flashers on. So being respectful I stayed behind him for a bit, then he pulled off toward the side of the road and was waving me by (still doing about 10mph). I pulled along side and asked if everything was okay. He said............

"I'm all set...just leaking some oil"

Glad I own my Stryker :thumb:

That's gotta be so embarrassing. I actually feel bad for him. But once he said he was all set, I down shifted a gear, and took off on my non-leaking Yamaha with my unbaffled exhaust ringing in his ears. I don't think he's gonna get laid tonight....that's all right...he already got f***ed by his bike.

It just amazes me how many HD riders consider all the maintenance and repairs they go thru to be some kind of badge of honor, I love walking into my garage and not feeling like I have to check anything other than tire pressure before I take a ride on my Stryker and my Victory, both are awesome dependable rides

I once owned a Suzuki GS 850, and there was a guy I knew (wasn't really a friend) who bought a brand new Heritage Soft tail. I lived in an apartment at the time, and I used to park the bike at the end of the parking lot. One winter the assholes actually plowed my bike into the snow bank, and it stayed like a frozen caveman in a glacier all winter (there was a lot of snow). That spring when it finally thawed out, I pulled my bike out. Changed the oil, put in a new battery, oiled the chain, and took a ride to Hampton beach in New Hampshire.....the guy with the Soft-tail couldn't even get it to start for two weeks (and he kept it in his house all winter!)

I have a buddy that use to ride. Only Harley's. He said if he was to start riding again it would be a Harley and only a Harley. So anyhow he lift his bicycle at my place one day, so I rode it over to his place one night. Told him I was riding his Harley over. When I got there he asked my why I thought his bicycle was a Harley. Answer: Just like a Harley, you have to get off and push once in while. All that was missing was a oil tank so that it could drip oil. Got a good laugh from everybody but him.

I can't count the times I've stopped to help out a Harley dead on the freeway.
Two most resent, we were going for a short ride to the Ave of the Giants which is a 60 mile round trip through the Ave. Went by the guy setting on his bike on the side of the freeway. About an hr later on the way back the guy was pushing his bike so we stopped and offered him a phone to call for help. He said he had a friend just off the ramp in a trailer park that would help him get it running. Electrical I think he said it was..
Another time we stopped, the guy just had it rebuilt at 90k miles and the tranny gave out, was waiting for the guy that rebuilt it to bring a trailer.
On the other hand I did meet one happy HD guy with almost 100k miles with no major problems and was getting ready to rebuild the motor. I told him he better rebuild the tranny while he's at it.

My boss's brother has a company in the same building as ours. So at the end of the day I went around to make sure all the lights were off and doors locked. When I got to the brother's side I saw a 2010 Sportster 1200 sitting there. So it looks like I got another person to pick on. Even the Harley guys say they wouldn't buy a Sportster.

The girl in the first pic looks like she is sitting way to proper. Doesn't look relaxed at all.

What? What are you talking about? I sent her on a beer run, she is worried she might bring the wrong beer back! To tell you the truth, it doesn't matter what kind she brings back. Just as long as she comes back!
c'mon Mannnnnnnn:nod:
