They are made by PCS. I had similar pipes (Monster Pro) from PCS on my last Yamaha. Sounded awesome and build quality was very good. No heat shields, just ceramic coated.

I did not, though I can honestly say I've never encountered that issue on any bike I've had. I've always either had boards or extensions for my feet, so my legs don't generally rest very close to the pipes. I will add two things about PCS: Their communication skills are lacking - can take way too long to hear back from them at times; Their quality is pretty good- If they made the exact same exhaust for the Stryker that I had on my v-star I would have that on my Stryker now.
