Just wondering if any one else has an a Scorpio SR-i800S. I purchased one and it worked fine for about 3 weeks then started blowing the 10A taillight fuse. I wanted to see if any one else with a Stryker had problems with theirs.

It ran for a week disconnected with no problems. Hooked it up got a problem. I had the ignition disable module attached. I going to ride a while with the disable module disconnected to see if that is the problem.

So I contacted Scorpio and said I wanted to return it for them to have it checked. They said they haven't heard of this problem before. I told other people have the SR-I900 on there Strykers and have had no problems either with the connector kit or using the taps. The service rep said that the systems are similar. They said if they can't find a problem it would cost me. Shipping there and back I guess. They suggested hooking up to the license plate light wire. I don't know how this would make a difference as it looks the license plate light wire is shunted off the tail light wire. I could be wrong but looking at the wiring diagram that is the way it is drawn. They said I could try hooking it up to another hot wire but I am reluctant because I don't have no idea where a hot wire would be that isn't critical to the bike. I would not like to have a short while riding that shuts down the bike. If anyone can think of a convenient wire that hot when the ignition is on I may try it. So far not overly impressed with the customer service.

From what you've done then the problem is with the alarm box it up and ship it to them to have them fix it. Just call them back and tell them you have been discussing it and trying to troubleshoot it with several other people with the alarm on the same bike on a forum and that we all came to the conclusion that it is your alarm problem. Doing so lets them know that there are multiple people who are not having problems and that there is a problem with yours. And that if they give you terrible service that the word will be out on the forum. Just be nice about it though.
