Looking for a review on:
Parts Unlimited Solo Seats with Plug-In Backrest - Stryker - Flame Stitch
I am not sure who makes PU seats for them, and wanting any input.
I like the flame stitching. Priced at $330

I have this PU seat. It isn't the flame one but other than that they are identical. More comfortable than stock and does not push you forward like the Mustang seat does.

Yes I did. Sheet metal bent around the forks to protect them, then just draw what you want and cut with a dremel. Smooth the edges with a file and a butane torch. This is only pic I have to date. Guess I need to take a bunch more.

How did you get the chrome on your wheels?

How did you get the chrome on your wheels?

Its not chrome. It is the raised portion of the wheels sanded and polished. It is a long process of sanding from 180 grit to 2000 grit wet paper, and multiple stages of polishing with different compounds and a buffing wheel on a dremel. Took about 12 hrs to do.

Just the solo seat without the backrest. I bought the mustang as well but it pushed me too far forward. The spousal unit likes the mustang pillion pad, so luckily it fits with the PU seat.

I'm trying to decide on the parts unlimited seat as well, but the yamaha has their solo seat does anyone have the yamaha solo seat but then again there's the new Danny grey butt crack seat to. I do like the backrest option of the PU seat but have never used a backrest before, I think it takes away from the WOW factory but I know the comfortable level is increased.

Help and opinions, I'm still rolling with my factory seat

That it does, but the option to have on a long ride would be nice. You sound like you been comparing then awhile, how the prices running on the solo seats? Is $330 high?

I've got it without flame stitch, but with backrest option, no passenger seat. Like it way better than the mustang. Nothing really in terms of break in time. Backrest definitely makes for a better distance ride. I think it offers better back support then stock without rest.

Did you have to use the hardwear from the stock seat? Makes it hard to switch seats if running 2up

Ebay has the yamaha solo seat as low as 275$ with free shipping. 259$ roughly for the parts unlimited solo seat, danny grey dont recall. I would live to hear more about the airhawk system they have for their butt crack solo seat.

Does anyone have the yamaha solo seat, how does it compare to the part unlimited solo seat?

You do have to use a piece from the stock seat. Realistically it wouldn't take more then about 5 minutes to switch out seats once you know what to do.
