Im trying to find the best seat option that will work with the Short Quick Release backrest that also offers the driver a backrest...any ideas? I really like the Parts Unlimited and Corbin Seats but not sure the Short Back Rest will work with either one of them... Links are welcome!!
Or if this particular one will work the Stock Quick Release Short Back Rest??

FWIW I have the Mustang seat with driver backrest and the tall QR star backrest. The backrest touches the side of the pillion seat but doesn't hit the back pad. I think you would be fine.

I have the Parts Unlimited 2up predator with the drag specialties EZ Glide backrest. I love it. I had the mustang and sent it back. (it does fit with the short quick release) Moved me forward too much.

Yeah, I don't want the Mustang due to the comments about it pushing people forward..being 5'10" I don't want to ride any closer! I like the feel of it now just want a better seat with a back rest...
I really really like the PU Solo seat am hoping to find a good deal on that one.... Had a helluva time find the back rest for it though. I was about to give up but just found it online.. what a pain that was! they changed the name and what not so it wasn't easy..

Hope you didn't pay more than $70. Got mine on e-bay for a fabulous deal. Sorry, just had to share that. But I too had a difficult time finding the backrest.

They are the Kuryakyn Premium floorboards in black. The wifey loves them compared to the stock pegs.

I think Raven has the Kury swingwings. I have them on mine and they are great.

Yes I do have the Swing wings as well. Makes a huge difference on long rides. I'm 5'11" and the Mustang seat didn't really make that much of a difference.

I have the Mustang wide touring wth drivers backrest and it wouldn't work with the short backrest. I had to get a tall one.

I had a buddy at work mod my stock seat and build a driver backrest for me. I love it it's so nice

Not sure he is still on here, but most guys have just removed the chrome covers and painted them or plasti-dipped them.

Yamaha sells black ones but at rediculous prices for plastic!
