Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else here noticed rust running out of the two headlights bolt spots or anywhere else, such as around the rear brake lever. If you have, please stop by your local dealer and inform them so they can send a report off to Yamaha and hopefully get this corrected for those of us having the problem and fixed for future iterations.

Just looked at mine to make sure and see absolutely nothing. I have 1800 miles on so maybe it may happen in the future, but nothing so far

Got about 2000 miles and no rust. I do live in the desert though.

I work at a potash mine and see more salt and kcl on my bike than anyone so if theres an issue I will definitely report it to the dealer. Thanks for the post

Nope- No rust no where, but then I have only ridden in dry weather and only washed bike once.

I've only had mine for less than two months and I've got over 2000 miles already but I noticed the rust within the first two weeks. I ride in all weather though, which may be why it appeared so quickly for me.

Just keep an eye out, I know it is a first year model so I don't expect it to be perfect but things like this are what we, the consumer, need to let the manufacturer know about so they fix it for the future years.

Rust in the tank

Yep. Some rust on the inside of the petrol tank where the cap goes, and on the front fork bearings. 1 year old, 9000km

Nope, and mine stay outdoors for 2 yrs before having a garage.

I got rust on the Boulevard windshield mount spacers about 2 weeks after the installation. Nothing else. I was going to request replacements from the dealer, but couldn't find time to get there and now it's probably too late.
