Ok. Just a little frustrated at the moment. Went to my local parts house to pickup a few things. And ended up leaving with nothing for my mods due to to the fact that they argued with everything I was talking about, which I picked up on this forum.

First up. Asked if they had a Avon 250. Nope, but they had a Dunlop. I said I would prefer the Avon due to height difference from the Dunlop as it is almost a half inch difference. The guy said, tires are all the same size, a 25040r18 is identical with each manufacture.

Asked to order some bar end mirrors, "Stryker is solid and can't mount bar end mirrors".

Tried getting Truwrapz 360 deg Led turns for front of bike. "won't work on your forks."

Tried to order a Mustang tank bib. "Not available for Stryker"

Tried to order a Cobra Air cleaner 1010-1303. "no adapter for Stryker"
(ummm......Stryker specific.)

Tried to order Styker specific Parts Unlimited 0810-1307 solo seat. "won't mount right".

Guy asked if I even did any research..........(ARRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHH!!!)

Did tell me I could order the 2010-0937 led rear lamp/turn for 125.00.

Told him to Go to ****.

Any ideas for a one stop parts shop thats competitive. Not cheap, just in the fair market value.

Thanks for all your help on here veteran Stryker owners.

Online. Guy sounds like a dumbass.
Hard to believe they are still in business turning down easy money like that. You weren't really even shopping around for price...

Cannot say for all the parts listed but I HAVE the Mustang tank bib(studded version) and it definitely fits and looks nice. Does the shop not have internet access?? I mean a quick search on Mustang's site would have set them straight.
Then again you'll probably be much better off elsewhere :)

One thought on the tank bib: I love mine but if you have any inclination of removing the plastic piece around the gas cap don't get the tank bib for the Stryker unless you want to look at a gaping hole. You'd have to call Mustang to confirm but they might have another model that would fit w/ the plastic removed.

I think I will keep the chrome trim around the tank for now. I will remove it next year when I paint the whole bike Ford Matte Black. Price wasn't that big a deal, although I was hopping that spending a couple grand, (including the riding gear I bought from them) they might give 10% off a order with multiple parts and over a grand.

Don't get it with them, they are a huge dealer in Denver, have over 2 million in inventory and I like to support my local business', also like being able to go back if I have a problem. Only 10 blocks from my front door.

They have internet and catalogs. Just mind blowing.

May or may not help but fork wrap led turns I got at chromeglow.com, the tail I'd do the ninja integrated light. My tail was around $60 on ebay. I've got a lot from ebay now that I think of it. Shop around. Might be able to save a couple hundred and get more mods. Just sayin.

Yep, you ran into a lazy dumbass, you'll find much better pricing online, after you get it all installed you need to take the bike by there and show his boss what all you did to your bike that their guy said couldn't be done

It seems that the only good thing I find on the internet is on this forum.
And it is no sweat, their loss. Just like to support the local market. Old fashioned I guess.
Old fashioned or not your attempt to support local businesses and tax base is a good thing which makes this situation even more mind numbing. I sort of do both since on a lot of things my dealer will price match or come close enough. They were very good to me on the initial sales price so I want to support them whenever I can. And to top it off they are very cool when they cannot match as was the case on the Avon heated grips.
I know you are trying to do the same thing with this shop and I'm sorry that after thousands of dollars you got the treatment you did.
They trampled your olive branch so time to move on and get your bike modded!!

Already planned on taking there when finished for a bike night, and let everyone there know where and why I purchased my parts elsewhere. Hope I get a hot dog before they make me leave. haha
