I just had a quick question.. Me and my friend both own Strykers.. We had the first service done recently and noticed that after the service was completed we now shift at different points then prior to the service.. For example my friend was saying that he used to get to 55-60 before he would change out of second gear.. Now the bike is screaming at 50.. Was just curious if this is normal to have the shift points change and also curious to see at what speeds others are shifting...

I would think this would be different with most anybody, I shift at all different speeds depending upon how fast I want to get to my desired speed or how much I want to hear my pipes rumble, but if say I'm in traffic my pattern is something like this 2nd- 20-25, 3rd- 35-30, 4th 45-50 & 5th 55+

My shift points are 1st to 2nd; wannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnh

2nd to 3rd; wannnnnnnnnnnnh

3rd to 4th; wannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnh

4th to 5th; wannnnnh

But actually I am very much like SS in mellow traffic. If I am first at the light it is more aggressive because I always want to be in front of the idiots. They can't hurt you 100 feet back.

Since the rev limiter is set below red line and the motor is warmed up running it up in rpm's isn't going to do any more damage than chugging the motor, besides its an investment in fun.... If it blows well it will be a lesson learned :) roller rockers with forged pistons and connecting rods it should be able to take some abuse only real weak point is that it's probably not balanced. I'm not saying to run it at the limiter all the time but blowing out the carbon once in a while shouldn't hurt it

After beating the living snot out of mine, motor, nitrous, whatever, I ASSURE you, that you cant hurt this motor. I have REPEATEDLY hit the Rev limiter while using nitrous even, and THAT made me cringe. Its not like I do it on purpose, but it happens. Missing Second gear while powershifting it on nitrous too.... that would scare the bejebees out of most. And..... its all perfect. 3,300 miles, Haven't even checked the valve clearance, and its as quiet as can be.

You cant wreck it. Seriously. I am Super impressed with our little Yami 80 Cube'rs. ;)
