Installed my Avon heated grips, and evrything is great except the adhesive on the clutch side hasn't set up. They use a double sided tape with a tube of some sort of activator stuff. It's kinda cool in the garage, 50 or so. Anyone else have this issue? It has set screws that seem to hold it very tight. Should I worry about the adhesive?

Lol...good point on the belts and suspenders....

On the plus side, the grips seem to be really comfortable, and get nice and toasty warm. We'll see once it warms up and all the salt gets washed off the roads....stupid winter weather....

Figured I'd follow up....got an email back from Avon, and the double sided tape they use is just solvent activated golf club grip tape, and the little tube of "activator" is mineral spirits. She said I probably just used too much mineral spirits. Just FYI.....

Think I'll just stick with the 3 set screws rather than messing with trying to redo it.

Since CW has his question answered, anyone know if these things can attach to helmet locks on the ends like Kuryakyn ISOs do? After this thread I want some heated grips but I need a place to lock two helmets that doesn't involve the one under the seat.
