Do they exist? I contacted Big City Thunder and they do not make baffles for the Stryker Stock exhaust, and I really like the sound of the Original Thunder. Does anyone out there make baffles for the Stock Exhaust? I like my pipes and want to keep them, I just want deeper, louder sound, and better performance would just be a bonus!

Have you tried the 4 1/2" hole mode or knock out the middle plug inside the pipe. Sounds better and lets the exhaust breath better.

these guys (Bill) will rework a Stryker pipe although I'm not clear exactly what they do to it..I was quoted $300 plus I'd have to ship there and back so probably $400 done..I'd like to do something myself but not clear what the best approach is with OE pipes.

You could use a hole saw, or a sharp punch to drive a hole. There are other threads or how tos.

I used a 1" hole saw on an extension. It deepened the sound, but not quite as much as I had hoped. A couple weeks later I put another 1" hole directly above each center pipe. That made a huge difference, and since the pipes have an overhang from the slash cut, you can't see it unless you bend way down. In my opinion, this is the best way to mod the stock exhaust. It changes the sound without noticably changing the appearance.

Thank you all for your suggestions, I appreciate it! I am not sure about VTX because there is no information as to how they would sound once the mod is complete - and my bike would be 'down' while the pipes are away, so that would be a bit harder to do! Especially since riding season has just begun, and this is my first brand new bike and first bike in over 17 years! I'm going after the sound of the Big City Thunder baffles, and I am going to keep trying until I find a close enough fit! I am not able to hear the video posted here because I am on a different computer, but I will listen to it later. What I have heard of drilled baffles does not produce that deep, throaty sound that I am looking for.........so my quest continues.

I bought some extra exhaust units, I'll send one set to the VTX guy the end of this month and report back toward mid May..the sound vid's they have on Honda's are impressive.
