I saw on another topic that you can knock out the baffle at the end of the exhaust by putting a rod into the tailpipe. Has anyone done this. I really dont know if I want to drill out my exhaust and that sounds like a good trade off keeping the stock look of the pipes. Thanks

I wouldn't recommend this. The baffles in these stock pipes are welded in good. If you try to punch them out you could damage the entire system. Drilling the baffle with a hole saw and extension is the best way.

You dont knock out the baffle, you knock out the plug that directs the exhaust through the baffle. Air will still flow through the baffle once the plug is removed, but will now flow direct too. I used an 18" long 1/4" bit to drill a pilot hole then removed the rest with a 3/4 bit. I removed the tail pipes to dump the savings when i finished.
