Started on a breather mod today.Trying something a little different than what has been posted.Will post pics later today.

I have an extra intake that's for sale but I also thought about modding it. Plug the inlet on the box with a rubber cap and drill holes on the front of the intake facing the front of the wheel. Then put some mesh screen on the inside and there you go, cold air!

I did that to my VTX air breather.

Been that way for over 20,000 miles for 3 years. Never noticed any change in sounds. Also, I have the back of the mount opened up also.

If you didn't notice anything then I guess I'll just keep mine stock.

I did the same with mine. I did get taller gears but not as loud as aftermarket intakes. I did not plug hole buy cut oppening front back and bottom of airbox

That looks good. End result looks very similar to mine. Hard to tell by the pictures, but I am guessing you cut down the stock back plate. Isn't it crazy how loud the "sucking" is now... Good job.

No I didn't cut the back plate.I used a rubber seal.I will see if I have a pic. And yes the sucking is loud.
