So, to make a long story short I recent found myself with a totally dead batter and a battery tender. I wanted to see what you guys thought my chances of recovery and turn around time might be. (Im thinking something like a day or two.) Battery is only a year and a half old so I was thinking I have a decent chance. Thoughts?

Also, Off topic, what is with the weather this winter?! 75 degrees in December?! To quote a friend, "Welcome to Arkansas where the weather is made up and the seasons dont matter." .....I blame it for throwing off my ability to pull the key out of the ignition..... ::)

The battery tenders are trickle charge and are designed to charge slow and to keep a already charged battery topped up. It does take a long time to charge a dead battery. I did a car battery. but took a couple of days. ( Still don't believe it gave me a full charge like a reg. charger) If I were you I'd charge the battery with a regular charger first to make sure it was charged full.

Been seeing a couple people with battery issues on a couple different forums and have seen where someone has said jump off a car - that's fine but what you have to remember if you do that the car should not be running- you could damage your ECU.

Since yours went dead from leaving the key on once you get enough charge on it for it to start - take it out and ride for about and hour and it should be good to go.
