I decided to start working on my exhaust last night, so I figured this would be a good time to start a build thread.

I cut apart the stock exhaust that I got from USMarineDelta and bolted it up to give my self an idea of how loud it would be... And it was definitely loud! I cut the top off of a couple of soda bottles and taped them to the ends to simulate baffles, and it quieted it down quite a bit (until it blew them off that is). I'm thinking I might want to double up on my original baffle plan, but I won't know until I get it finished. I've got a feeling this is going to be a long process...

Am I going to have to cut out the bung for the O2 sensor and weld it into my new pipes, or is there a way to bypass it?
I have the Gman programmer, and they say to just unplug the O2 sensor. If you go with something like that, then you won't need to do that. Also, you can buy the bungs, would be easier than trying to cut it out neatly, then re welding it.

I thought about getting the Bully, but I'm trying to keep costs down...

Thanks for the tip on buying one though! Are they universal?

I am not sure if there are different sizes or not. We use them at work sometimes, and I think we just order O2 bungs. I don't remember giving a size. But I am not sure if motorcycle ones are smaller. You could always take your pipe in to an auto parts store, and see if any ol O2 sensor fits. If it does, then I would say they are all the same size.
