Has anybody replaced their rear tire with a larger one. I like the stock one but I think a bigger one would look a little cooler. I've only had the bike a few weeks and really love it.
240 fits fine but it will raise the height of the bike..

Positives- Fixes speedometer to read correct speed, you can lean over more in a turn without running on the sidewall flat that is on the 210, Better ride, Looks Cooler!
Negatives- Takes a little more power to get going from start- thats it!

You will most likely have to do some trimming to the upper belt guard! I had to do a little for my Avon 240.

Awesome- then I'm putting one on, when this tire gets worn! I guess I might as well lower it too!
Be careful how you lower it.
It's been advised on this board if you install a 240/250 tire, lower it with L&M's spring.
Don't combine a bigger tire and the lowering dogbones or you'll have clearance problems.
Anybody care to correct me if i'm wrong?

It may take a little more effort in curves and possibly a lower speed if you install the bigger tire.
I rode my dads chopper (bbc sled) with the 300 back tire and it sucked in the twisties. You really had to lean it to get it to turn. 47 degrees rake didnt help..lol but if we built another chop we would go with a smaller tire. I probably put a few thousand miles on it myself, always wishing it had a 250 tire. His other chop had a 200 tire and it handled ten times better.. Just my .02¢
I would love a 240 on my stryker with a wider rim.
