Hey guys i'm putting my new vance & hines black exhaust on tonite and am thinking about blacking out the airbox as well. I can't find anone online that sells just an airbox cover. Does anyone know if any exist or do u have to buy a whole new black airbox from cobra or etc...etc...any help would be great...

They're out there. I let mine go for $20 the other month. People are always changing out their stock parts.

I aree with painting the chrome one. Cheapest way. I picked up a whole air cleaner assembly off of Ebay last week. Back plate, filter and cover ( black) It has some scratches on the cover, not sure how bad, haven't got it yet. I am going to try and make my own as some have done on here, but didn't want to cut up my stock one, in case I don't like it. Got it for about $31.. shipped.. .99 for the part and $30 shipping.. LOL..

i still have my stock black air box im willing to part with ( i have no clue what color the inside is, but the outside is definitly black )

Odd. I'm pretty sure mine was black on the inside. My memory ain't the best right now though. I'm 6 glasses in on boxed wine.....Boolshot said:

LOL! I believe you, I just wish I had mine to check. But after looking at your pic, maybe mine WAS chrome on the inside? Oh well. All I know is that I dropped over $100 on my chrome Cobra intake just to paint the **** thing black haha!
