For those running the Blaster-X tail light, are you running any relays to assist with the blink speed?
Those running just a tail light assembly? Yes/No
Running front LED's as well?

If you are running a relay, what seems to be the preference? The ELFR-1 seems to fit the bill for simplicity, but does it effect the self cancelling feature on the signals on the bike?
thanks in advance, just trying to cover all the basis before placing an order.

You will lose the self cancel feature if you swap the relay. It is a very simple easy route, and the cleanest route. You can also splice in some load resistors and leave the stock relay.

I originally used resistors out the back but then I switched to an electronic relay (I forget which one). I didn't care about losing the auto cancel but I did notice the rate is still a touch fast.

I had this setup with both incandescent bulbs up front and LED's upfront. No difference.
