WHY? It's the 883 market that they are after. It's like you have a hamburger and instead of comparing it to another hamburger, you compare it to a chair.

Toby knows, he means like for instance this cafe bike I posted. I would say its still apples to apples.

I sat on it a few weeks back. It would be a nice around town bike good for short rides. Not sure my back could handle that forward position for very long.

Toby,

I love you man but what else does it compare against??
Love or hate Harley but the reality is they sell the most bikes and if a segment goes unchallenged that is just silly marketing.
I looked at a Sportster early on before the Stryker. The Stryker has many more pros but the Sportster is light and maneuverable. The Current 950 is just a different bike so the Bolt is just like the many different forms of the Sportster; each fill a different niche.

Have to ride the Bolt soon. Not going to replace the Stryker but just to see.

And on a completely different topic; stopped by HD a week ago and sat on the Breakout. Was really pressed for time but in 5 minutes I don't think it's anywhere near as comfortable as the Stryker. They offered a test ride and I will take that but you still sit on top of the bike verses in it. Plus I personally don't like the mufflers(chrome and black) but the routing of the oil lines etc. is top notch.
If we could just get a ******* child of Yamaha and HD; that would be perfect...

Just don't think the 883 is fair a comparison. Only bike looks, everything else about the 883 falls way short. My old 750 Virago was a better comparison to the 883. Star did another comparison to the Volcon 900. That was a fair comparison IMO

I rode the HD 883, Vulcan 900 & the Bolt then took the Bolt home.

The 883 was horrible to ride, way too much vibration.

The Vulcan 900 was a nice ride but felt heavier than its 610lbs.

The Bolt is light & nimble, feels lighter than its 540lbs. Plenty of low end power. Handle great but could use better shocks & seat. My longest ride so far was 50 miles & no body pains.

Nice Vid Miko! Does not surprise me in the least. I've seen Harleys in town here get on it and gear up to 4th within a short in town and they look like they are barely getting it. I would not even need to get out of 2nd to do same stretch!

I test drove the bolt a few weeks ago, kind of retro, and then you look at that speedometer and say ? Rides alright, but but not what I would ride for an extended period.

A few bad reviews about the bolt speedo, I guess I will keep looking!

I've put about 100 miles on the new Bolt so far and I LOVE it. However, that digital speedo is almost impossible to read under certain conditions. It looks badass no doubt, but if I get a speeding ticket because I can't see the speero on my brand mew bike I'm going to be pissed...big time. If I'm in a 30 mph zone going 50, I don't need a speedo to tell me I'm speeding, but I can see me getting nailed for going 36 in a 30 zone.
