I purchased a 2012 Stryker a little over a month ago. I love this bike, however, when I ride for a long time, my tail bone and butt really start to hurt. I had a Custom upholster guy add a gel pad in the seat but that really didn't do much. I have also been told to wear compression shorts under my jeans, that helps a little but about every 25 miles I have to get off and walk a couple minutes then I am good again. Any ideas on seats I am about 300 lbs and 6'2". Any help would be great...

The new seat will help tremendously! I have the Custom Cruise Solo seat, and the only stops I had to make on the way to and from Emerald Isle, about 400 miles one way, were for gas. The stock seat kills even my 9 year old dtr after an hour, and she loves to ride.

Well, the wife & I used ours for the ride down to Maggie Valley - all through the rally, and the ride back... I've only had ours for a few months now, but If they last at least a few years or more... then they are worth every penny.

Stock seat all the way - Iron Ass!! Wife has to use an air hawk :)
LOL yeah I prefer the stock seat, it is one of the things that sold me on the bike. Stock seat for me is very comfy and I have a fairly large rear lol
It is nice to be able to ride all day and not be more then normally sore at bed time. I don't care who you are ;) you are gonna get a little saddle sore after 14 to 16 hours in the saddle with stops just for gas.

*giggles* well toby has always told me that one thing that attracted him to me was my 'manitude' *grins*
I mean, I come out with stuff like "If we ever have a full sized house to live in, the bikes have to be kept in the living room"
Seriously, it is just that for most of my life, I have spent 8 to 14 hours in a saddle, during the summer. Granted it was a horse under me, but it was still a saddle. I have packed horses from Mendocino Ca, to southern Oregon and back. I rode my horse from mendocino to wildwood, traded it in for a wild mustang from the BLM, trained said mustang to lead and accept the saddle and my gear and then walked that horse 300 miles north, then the 600 miles home... I finished her training the following spring and started riding her and I used to ride from Albion ca to fort bragg ca along back trails and logging roads and sometimes on the highway at the trot. That horse would run like **** and also jog for hours, but you could never get her to walk. She barely had any whoa... Toby reminds me a lot of that horse LOL
I lived out of a tent and spent every waking moment in the saddle for most of 15 years even after I had kids... **** if I could have gotten away with it, I would have had a little herd of horses, and a yurt wagon and lived on the open plains LOL
all that horse back riding has taken it's toll tho, so it's iron horses for me now...
Being in a saddle is my happy place... well one of my happy places. Toby knows where the other one is ;)
