Hey guys, I did this ride last year and it was probably the best charity ride I have ever done. They moved it up a little this year so maybe it won't be as cold as last year (30 degrees when I left my house for the 1 hour ride over). It sure would be nice if the the Stryker nation could make it out to support this worthwhile cause. If you think you would liek to do this I can arrange a meetup spot for breakfast so we can all ride in together. Last year there were over 4000 bikes in attendance. Check out Operation Sandbox Ride for the Troops on Youtube and you'll see what I'm talking about. The ride is also very scenic to boot.

To anybody that would like to meetup for this feel free to PM me and if you do come breakfast is on me.

I'm in. Mind if I ride a sportbike? My stryker will only just be a tad over 600 miles and I would rather not ride over the 1000mle mark without the service. Will be riding from Columbus Ga and I am a Troop as well :)

Today was a flippin gorgeous day in Ga. Hope you had a good time.
It really was a great time, by now most folks on here know I'll do most anything for kids and our troops, my business partner and i have decided to become sponsors for this ride next year. It was a lot of fun talking with the beta and those currently serving. I'll admit I had to get off to myself a few times to compose myself after hearing some of these kids stories. I thought I had been thru a lot having gotten married, having a child and divorcing twice before I was 23 but nothing compared to what these kids have been thru. Last night my wife and I attended the wedding of one my son's best buddies. There were 3 of his currently serving friends there and 3 candles continuously lit for friends that didn't come home, truly moving day for me.
